David Cohen, Strategy & Copywriting Partner at Play, is a seasoned ad industry professional. He’s worked with GoTo Foods (formerly known as Focus Brands) on several high-profile, fast-casual restaurant brands, including McAlister’s Deli, Cinnabon, Carvel Ice Cream, Seattle’s Best and Auntie Anne’s. And with his work on behalf of the Georgia Lottery, Northside Hospital and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, it’s safe to say he has a solid local footing in the Greater Atlanta market.

Utilizing his skills in strategic thinking and writing, David has an apt ability to see the big picture, develop relevant ideas, and then seamlessly execute the advertising or marketing campaign on-budget. He supports Play’s clients - including Google Nest & Goodman Manufacturing, Integrity LandWorx, NaanStop, ReMarkets and more - with ad campaign development, ad copy, marketing strategy & planning, marketing collateral and more.

David holds a B.A. in English and Theatre Studies from Emory University; and additionally attended the Miami Ad School (formerly known as Portfolio Center) for further studies in marketing & advertising. He’s been recognized as the Atlanta Ad Club Young Ad Professional of the Year, published in several industry outlets, and received several Atlanta Ad Club Spike Awards and Effies.

In his spare time, you can find David volunteering with Trees Atlanta or working with his dad on their very own nutrition-focused, nonprofit website (nutrition4kids.com). He enjoys playing pickleball with his friends, running, biking, traveling, and, of course, doing his best to keep up with his two teenage sons.
